There are tons of great games available to play on Gear VR whether you're sitting or standing. If you've been looking for a game you can play while sitting down, or in a limited amount of space, then this list is for you!
We've got some of the best games on Gear VR that you can play while sitting down, although a spinning chair is required. After all, just because you're sitting down, doesn't mean that you won't be moving.
Tis the season for spooky, atmospheric experiences, and in that regard, Dreadhalls definitely won't disappoint. Being hunted in a creepy dungeon with no weapons, you'll have to escape using your wits to survive. This is a game that you'll definitely need a swivel chair to enjoy, but it's a serious blast.
Smash Hit is the title for those who enjoy simple, yet challenging gameplay. The main goal of the game is to use small balls to smash through various different glass obstacles. You'll be able to pick up extra balls, along with power-ups to help you get to the next checkpoint. It's a ton of fun, and never requires you to do more than look forward, left and right.
VR Karts: Sprint
Racing games can be few and far between in VR, but VR Karts: Sprint is as ridiculous as it is fun. The game delivers a fun, and easy to play kart racing experience that works really well. This is certainly a game that you'll want a swiveling chair for, as you'll be racing around the bends of tracks which requires some free movement.
Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes
When you've got a few friends over, you've certainly got to look at Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes. One player sits at a table in VR with a bomb sitting in front of them. The other player has access to the manual for disarming the bomb. There are even several different bombs, so you'll have to discuss how to deal with each one.
Wrath of Loki
Finding a fun game that combines gorgeous graphics, fun gameplay mechanics, and an intriguing story aren't easy to find in VR. Wrath of Loki is one of the few titles to pull it off, and does so exceptionally. It combines a hidden object game, with small puzzles interspersed along the way. You'll play as Thor, tasked with foiling your brother and his machinations before Ragnarok is triggered to end the world.
InMind is a short, arcade style game. You'll travel inside the brain of a patient with depression, in order to neutralize affected neurons. You'll ride through the brain, shooting those neurons as they pop up around you. While a swivel chair is definitely recommended, it isn't necessary. However, if you lack the chair you may find yourself craning in order to beat your high score and get the last few neurons.
