Oculus announces Connect 3 developer conference for October 5-7

From Oculus:

This year's Connect will be our largest developer conference yet, with more than 50 technical talks and opportunities to experience new Oculus hardware and content. Featuring signature keynotes from Brendan Iribe, John Carmack, and Michael Abrash, you'll be the first to hear the latest news and announcements from Oculus and our partners, and see a glimpse into the future of VR.

Applications for Oculus Connect 3 will open on August 2 at 9:00 a.m. PT. You'll be able to register for the conference and sign up for email updates at the Connect 3 site.

The company also provided some shipping updates for the Oculus Rift. In apologizing for delays, Oculus announced that it has shipped all pre-orders of its VR headset, and new orders are now able to ship in two to four business days. The company also says that it's still on track to ship its Touch controller later this year.
