If you're like us, you're super pumped to try out PlayStation VR. Whether you've already experience what the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift have to offer, or you're a VR virgin still looking for your first fix, you'll definitely want to check out a Playstation VR demo when it comes to a Best Buy or GameStop location in your town.

Here are a few tips to help you get the most out of your demo experience.

Make sure you know where to go

Each location will only host the PSVR demo for a few days and only for about five hours each day, so you'll want to double-check that you've got the right date and time before you head out. Again, check PlayStation's website to confirm when the demo kiosk is going to be in your area, then plan accordingly.

Sony is also bringing the PSVR demo station around on its Road to Greatness Tour, featured at a number of music festivals throughout the summer. It's definitely in your best interest to find out if it's coming to a fest near you!

Make the most of your 15 minutes

In an effort to give everyone a chance to try it out, the folks running the PSVR demos will be keeping play time capped at 15 minutes per person and only one game per demo experience.

Obviously the choice is yours as to which game you want you play, but here are a few recommendations based on what might be available when the demo rolls through town:

If you've never experienced VR and want to be as immersed as possible, you might want to check out The Deep. You become a deep sea diver in a shark cage, exploring the ocean depths. Keep an eye out for hungry sharks…

If you're used to playing around in VR and are more interested in checking out some action-packed fun, might we suggest checking out EVE: Valkyrie or Battlezone? Both will give you a sense of how action games work in VR and they've been hits with everyone who's demoed them.

If you're looking to check out some of the more casual PSVR offerings, there's Super Hyper Cube, a neon-drenched puzzler, and Head Master, which lets you test out how the PSVR does head tracking with a fun mini game requiring you to head soccer balls into a net and bonus targets.

Those demos should be available at the Best Buy locations, but if you're eager for a more mature experience, GameStop locations should also be demoing The Heist. It's like a full-on first-person action movie sequence, so strap in and get ready for the ride of your life!

Bring friends and family

Everything's more fun with friends and family. Since you're only able to play around with one game per visit (unless you get extremely lucky and there's no lineup behind you), why not go with a few friends, each try a different game, and then share your experiences with one another?

Plus it's actually pretty fun just watching other people experience VR for the first time

Expect long lines

With all the hype surrounding PlayStation VR — only expected to grow throughout the summer as more people get a chance to try it out for themselves — it should come as little surprise that these demo events are attracting lots of people.

With that in mind, you should arrive early or expect to wait in a long line for your turn. Depending how busy the demo is, you may have to literally wait in line for hours, so make sure your phone is charged, your bladder is empty — and your mind is ready to be blown by amazing VR!
