Adding a Deluxe Audio Strap to your HTC Vive is a great way to avoid needing to use earbuds or large headphones in VR ever again, but there's another fantastic aspect to this headset. The rigid sides and back to this replacement strap are significantly more comfortable and structured than the strap that comes with the Vive, and it feels amazing. If you've just picked up a Deluxe Audio Strap, here's how to make sure you get the best fit for that maximum VR comfort!

Eyes first
Lift up the back of the strap and put your face in the headset first. Make sure the cushion around your eyes and nose is positioned exactly the way you want, and then pull the strap down over the top and sides of your head.
Velcro Adjustment
The top strap helps determine where the back of the headset is going to rest, which means you want it to be high enough for the headphones to rest comfortably on your ears. Once you have the right position, press the velcro fastener onto the pad.
Tighten it down
There's a small wheel on the back of the headset, which you now need to turn clockwise to tighten onto your head. Turn this knob until the headset feels comfortably seated on your head, and adjust as necessary when moving around. You do not need to undo this when taking the headset off, just pull on the back and you'll have enough flex to comfortably remove the headset.
Set your headphones
Your headphones pull out and can be adjusted up and down along the slider they are attached to. Pull each headphone out, raise them to the height you want them to be, and push each one back over your ear. This can be re-adjusted at any time.
All done!
And just like that, your Vive has been personalized to fit your head again. To get this fit, simply pull the headset back down over your head and let the hinges settle back into place. If you need to re-set this for friends or family, just repeat these steps.
